FAMILIA LAKWATSERA

Just a(n) (ab)normal family who loves food like the air we breathe. Recently bitten by the travel bug, we're now hopeless Walkaroos.

2014 to be exact, was the year we were unleashed! Ever since then, we explore places whenever possible and if we do not have to sell an arm and a leg, valuable organs or one of our kids, we take the plunge, pack our stuff and go.

My name is Nina (naturally omnitrovert) and I'm married to Joseph (naturally extrovert). We have three children, Alexander, who is pretty much like me, Jason who is like his dad while Jeanne Dominique, I would like to think is a bit of both of us,,, leaning more towards her daddy (hmmp!)

I have another blog which is a mish mash of topics that started as a diary of the dishes I prepared and food we eat. It evolved into a mix bag of everything under the sun. I got thrown into the world of restaurant reviews and events, I got lost along the way.

As I mature, the blog can't seem to catch up with my antics. The family grew too and so from stories of self-centred me to self-centred me + family. Re-organising the content of my old blog is so daunting I don't even know where to start. The blog became one big disjoined mish-mash.

What else to do? Start over with my 40-year old brain.

To be honest, we expect to be anonymous and irrelevant for awhile. It'll be just like before, write to the ether and have a genuine discussion and word vomit with the universe, unfiltered. Not think someone will read my musings or worst, read and file a complaint of how offensive my thoughts are, which for the most part is unfettered. That's id on redbull.

As you'll come to know, there are days when things go our way and there are days when we struggle, days we are happy and days we are depressed as shit. Our lives are far from perfect but we love it just the same and we appreciate each victories we achieve, no matter how small or insignificant it might be to others.

I truly want to say that every day, we aim to be better human beings, help others if we can but really, most of the time and as primal as it is, all we think of is what to eat next and where to eat next. We don't have first world problems, we have one of the most basic human problems, food.
